We have everything that you will need to do your work in a safe and clean manner. All aprons, knives, gloves, hair nets and more is provided.
Simply bring your enthusiasm and a smile!
Our usual production shifts run from 8:00 am – 11:30 am. We provide tasty breaks!

Volunteer Job Types
Our produce volunteers are the lifeblood of our daily production. On average we need 30 volunteers per day (age 14 or over) Monday through Friday.
Time commitment shifts run from 8:00 am to 11:30 am.
If you have kitchen and food prep skills, wonderful, and if you don’t, no problem. We’ll steer you in the right direction and make things easy and fun for you!
All necessary equipment such as aprons, knives, gloves & hair nets is provided. Simply choose a day from the schedule (Monday through Friday) that works for you.
We supply baked goods for up to 30 volunteers on a daily basis.
If you like to bake cookies, muffins, squares, or pies, we need you! Come and spend an afternoon baking in our spacious and well-equipped kitchen. Let us know what you’d like to make and the ingredients you require. We’ll do the shopping and make sure you have what you need.
This is a leadership role where you’ll be asked to keep your home church or community group, informed of our current and upcoming initiatives. Information is important to keep people involved in our mission-driven work.
We will provide you with pertinent background information about the Southwestern Ontario Gleaners in a well-organized presentation folder.
It will include – a short background video, important talking points for you to share with listeners, brochures and donation envelopes.
Donations are vital to the Southwestern Ontario Gleaners and the work we do to feed the hungry. This is an important role and we appreciate your willingness to assist with this effort.

If you have experience with food-related equipment or food processing skills, then we value your help. Our production output and volunteer team rely on our equipment. It is vital that our equipment is well maintained and stays in good working order.
